DATO’ C. VIGNESH KUMAR
Dato’ C. Vignesh Kumar began his legal career at the Attorney General’s Chambers as a Deputy Public Prosecutor within the Commercial Crimes Unit. During his tenure, he prosecuted numerous high-profile matters and advised key enforcement agencies including the Royal Malaysia Police, Securities Commission, Bank Negara Malaysia, Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission, and the Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission.
His distinguished service earned him the Excellent Service Award from the Attorney General in 2010. In 2012, he received the Integrity Award from the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission for refusing and reporting a bribery attempt, which led to the prosecution of the offender.
Dato’ transitioned into private practice in 2013 when he joined Skrine as a Senior Associate. He later co-founded Low Vignesh & Co before establishing Vignesh Kumar & Associates. He regularly represents clients in civil and criminal matters across all levels of the Malaysian courts and advises corporate and governmental entities on complex legal issues.
He is also a regular speaker and legal commentator with Business FM and other media platforms on matters of national importance. In recognition of his contributions to the legal profession, he was named in LexisNexis’ 40 Under 40 Southeast Asia List for 2025.
YASINTHRA DORAIRAJU
Yasinthra Dorairaju is a senior litigation lawyer with extensive experience in both civil and criminal practice. She graduated with a Bachelor of Laws (Honours) from Multimedia University in 2018 and began her legal career focusing on banking litigation and matrimonial disputes.
She subsequently expanded her litigation portfolio to include judicial review proceedings, minority shareholder oppression actions, estate and probate disputes, strata management disputes, and complex commercial litigation.
Yasinthra currently heads the firm’s Civil Litigation Department, where she manages a wide range of contentious matters including breach of trust claims, inheritance disputes, planning law matters, matrimonial disputes, and solicitor disciplinary proceedings. She regularly conducts interlocutory applications and is involved in both trial and appellate litigation.
She also maintains an active criminal litigation practice involving MACC and AMLA investigations, white-collar crime, and other serious offences. Known for her practical and client-focused approach, Yasinthra works closely with clients to navigate complex legal challenges with clarity and confidence.
OOI HONG MING
Ooi Hong Ming graduated with a Bachelor of Laws (Honours) from the University of Essex in 2019 and completed the Certificate of Legal Practice in 2021. He was admitted as an Advocate & Solicitor of the High Court of Malaya in 2022 after completing his pupillage at Messrs Arissa Tan, Chien & Co.
Prior to joining Vignesh Kumar & Associates, he practised in Johor Bahru where he gained significant experience in criminal defence matters, particularly blue-collar offences involving the Dangerous Drugs Act, Prevention of Crime Act, Penal Code offences, and other regulatory legislation. He also handled uncontested civil matters including probate, estate administration, divorce proceedings, and citizenship applications.
Since joining the firm, he has expanded his practice into white-collar criminal defence involving offences under AMLA, MACC Act, Capital Markets and Services Act, Financial Services Act, and related legislation. He is also actively involved in contested civil litigation matters including breach of contract disputes, negligence claims, industrial relations disputes, and committal proceedings.
RUBANYAH SEDOPATHY
Rubanyah Sedopathy graduated with a Bachelor of Laws (Honours) from the National University of Malaysia (UKM) in 2022. She completed her pupillage at Vignesh Kumar & Associates under the guidance of Dato’ C. Vignesh Kumar, where she gained extensive exposure to civil and commercial litigation, criminal proceedings, family law disputes, and advisory matters.
She was admitted as an Advocate and Solicitor of the High Court of Malaya in October 2023 and subsequently commenced practice as an Associate with the firm. Her work involves drafting pleadings and submissions, conducting legal research, managing case documentation, attending hearings and case management, and assisting senior counsel in trials and appeals.
Rubanyah is actively involved in both civil and criminal matters and is recognised for her attention to detail, strong research skills, and commitment to delivering practical and effective legal support to clients.
